In Action with the adizero Crazy Light 2
Who the hell would top off the 9.8 ounce adidas Crazy Light
shoes? Well it was no other than adidas themselves.
adidas recently launched their brand spanking
new adizero Crazy Light 2 and my feet were lucky to be inside those bad boys and on
court for some action!
With the adizero Crazy Light 2 weighing at only 9.5 ounces,
I can surely say you will immediately feel light (even with a full stomach from
the food and drinks adidas served). My feet were airy but properly secured all
thanks to the new aerodynamic thin three-layer
SPRINTWEB which gives players enhanced vertical and horizontal strength. The
increased strength of the adizero Crazy Light 2 also comes from an enlarged
asymmetrical SPRINTFRAME, allowing for maximum motion control. Overall,
the shoe’s new geometry allows for maximum weight savings, energy return and
motion control.
But before I can dish out some assists and weave my way to
the basket, a mini-training camp was conducted by some of our PBA Legends. Big
man Benjie Paras gave us some agility and footwork drills to test the
durability and performance of the adizero Crazy Light 2. After a couple of sprints and stretching, it
was time to try these shoes in action with a little 5-on-5 game.
Coached by Ronnie Magsanoc and Ryan Gregorio, our teams got
it going! The adizero Crazy Light 2 makes you quick (even my slowest teammate
was quick!) agile and springy. Cutting corners and crossovers were so easy to
do when you feel like gliding on air. And the best thing about the Crazy Light
2, you don’t easily get tired. Its like playing using your tsinelas, but well
protected and beautifully designed. It was light done right! Adidas really knows what it takes to
be a winner. And guys, the adizero Crazy Light 2 is a winner!
The adizero Crazy Light 2 is available in leading retailers nationwide for Php7995.

Stronger, Brighter, Lighter - adizero Crazy Light 2
The new adizero Crazy Light 2 is absolute eye-candy! With
the three stripes on the heel being
made of reflective material, it will not be hard to get noticed. Available
on June 15, three colorways will go on sale including the electricity colorway,
along with a metallic finished black/white/red and the grey/black/white.
More colorways will drop in June 21 and throughout 2012.
Yes
these shoes are too pretty to wear and you just want them in a glass case, but
the adizero Crazy Light 2 are meant to be on the court. The increased strength of the adizero Crazy Light 2 comes from an
enlarged asymmetrical SPRINTFRAME, allowing for maximum motion control.
Designers added volume to the midsole for a more supportive base. The new aerodynamic three-layer SPRINTWEB is
the thinnest ever, with a tighter web layout that gives players enhanced vertical
and horizontal strength. Overall, the shoe’s new geometry allows for maximum
weight savings, energy return and motion control.
adidas advanced footwear concept designer,
Robbie Fuller said, “The adizero Crazy Light 2 is light done right. We not only
made it lighter, but we made it stronger and more aerodynamic. We work closely
with the adidas Innovation Team (aIT) to continuously innovate and find that
perfect weight-to-strength ratio that gives athletes better command and agility
on court.”
So you have a strong, light-weight, and
good looking shoe, adidas even added technology into it. The adizero Crazy
Light 2 can be equipped with the micoach speed_cell™, helping players measure,
view and share their stats. micoach technology includes an advanced
accelerometer that captures 360-degree movement and measures performance
metrics during practice or gameplay. The chip’s unique on-board memory stores
up to seven hours of data, wirelessly syncs with the user’s smartphone and
uploads performance stats that can be shared through Facebook and Twitter.
The adizero Crazy Light 2 will be
available in leading retailers nationwide for Php7995.
