Kiefer Sutherland gets Touch

Do you ever wonder how the world works? Are we connected to each other like dots? Is there someone looking after us? Is there such thing as a coincidence? Does the Law of Attraction really work? Well we might not see the connections, but a mute boy probably can.

Touch is drama series that explores how we are all interconnected. Blending science, spirituality and emotion, the series will follow seemingly unrelated people all over the world whose lives affect each other in ways seen and unseen, known and unknown.

Kiefer Sutherland stars as Martin Bohm, a widower and single father, haunted by an inability to connect to his emotionally challenged mute 11-year-old son, Jake (David Mazouz). Martin learns that Jake possesses an extraordinary gift—the ability to perceive the seemingly hidden patterns that connects every life on the planet. As he puts the pieces together, he will help people across the world connect as their lives intersect according to the patterns Jake has foreseen.

I know the story is common and others have done this in movies and other series, but thanks to the evil-genius-of-a-mind Tim Kring (creator of the TV series Heroes), Touch gives you another level of an emotional roller coaster ride.

The pilot episode already aired last January 25, 2012 and got impressive reviews. Touch will be back on March 19 for their second episode and there is a reason why they chose that specific date, but you have to watch the pilot to find out.
