A 5-inch Battle: Samsung Galaxy Note vs. LG Optimus Vu

There’s not a lot of 5-inchers out in the market and with epic failure of the Dell Streak 5 (blame it on wrong timing), people are just puzzled whether to treat it as a smartphone or a tablet. Do you hold it with one hand or two? Do you use a stylus pen or a finger? Do you put it in your pocket or man purse?

Samsung fearlessly pushed forward into launching their Galaxy Note last year and it got the attention of some business people in suits. Just recently, LG revealed their own 5-inch thingamajig, called Optimus Vu. No target date on the availability in the local market, but definitely there is a lot of room for competition in the 5-inch category. LG has been struggling with firmly placing their units in to consumer’s hands, but hopefully the Optimus Vu will be competitively priced to give people a second thought of getting the fairly overpriced Galaxy Note.
